Be seen on the stage and screen
Theatre Bugs has valuable contacts in the television, theatre and music industry and over the years, we have found work for hundreds of our enthusiastic young performers!
Many talented Theatre Bugs students of all ages (the youngest being a newborn baby and the eldest being a ‘Theatre Bugs’ Dad) have gained work through us in t.v, film, catalogues and stage musicals/plays.

Journey to the centre of the stage at Adelaide Theatre Academy

Following on from the outstandingly successful Adelaide Fringe productions of Oliver!, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins comes...
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG
(For cast members 10-21 years old)
About the Show
An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
Directed by the talented Georgia Brass, with Musical Director Ben Francis, Choreographer Jacinta Vistoli, and Production Manager Kaitlyn McKenzie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is shaping up to be one of the best shows we have brought to the Fringe line-up!
The production will be performed in the outstanding professional performance venue, the Norwood Concert Hall. Tickets will go on sale via FringeTIX later this year.

Why people love Theatre Bugs

Peace
of Mind
The safety and well being of your child is as important to us as it is to you. Our teachers genuinely CARE about your children. All teachers hold First Aid certificates, Police Clearances and receive ongoing training, mentoring and support.

Skills
For Life
Children learn to trust their own ideas, develop perseverance, empathy, teamwork, to feel confident in their own ability and develop the confidence they need to tackle the challenging situations they are confronted with in life.

Non-competitive Environment
We strive to make children feel proud of their personal achievements. Children are supported to develop at their own pace without the pressure of exams and competitions.

Unforgettable Experiences
Students participate in at least 2 performances each year which often involve sets, lights and costumes. Students are often invited to participate in events such as TV work, charity concerts, Fringe events, Christmas pageants and more!

We Understand
Families
We know you are busy so we don't expect you to sew costumes. We know you need to budget, so we don’t charge for regular ‘in house’ performances. We know that family is really important so we invite all of family to attend performances.
