The Adelaide Fringe is the world’s second-largest annual arts festival and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. For one month, the Fringe features hundreds of artists from around the world in a multitude of venues across Adelaide. Being actively involved as an artist in the Fringe is to be part of something very unique and special to South Australia. We hope you will share this magical time with us!
The Show – ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’
Our production of ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ will be directed by Michelle Davy and feature some of Adelaide’s best young talent, a live band, stunning costumes and an incredible set – all showcased in one of Adelaide’s premiere entertainment venues, the Norwood Concert Hall.
The story follows a down-and out skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination! One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a fantastic musical score. Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS never fails to entertain.
