Discounted Tickets – Contemporary Dance at the OzAsia Festival

On behalf of the Adelaide Festival Centre, Theatre Bugs is thrilled to be able to offer discounted tickets to two wonderful OzAsia Festival dance events.

SOMEWHERE, EVERYWHERE, NOWHERE
21 – 23 October | Space Theatre

A project in the works since incredible dance duo Alison Currie and Yui Kawaguchi first met at OzAsia Festival almost three years ago, Somewhere, Everywhere, Nowhere is the culmination of realities and imagined possibilities.

Drawing on themes of connectivity and distance experienced by Alison and Yui while developing the show on other sides of the world, the pair’s intimate choreography and collision of forms reflects the global experience of living in online limbo during pandemic – still so close, but always far away.

Dance masterclasses are also available with dancers Yui Kawaguchi & Alison Currie for learning choreography, composition, and collaboration.

TWO
5 – 6 November | Space Theatre

For close to ten years, Raghav Handa and Maharshi Raval have built a  bromance defined – and sometimes challenged – by the hierarchy inherent between dancer and musician in traditional Indian Kathak. But what happens when conventional roles are reversed and the dancer takes control?

Set in an intimate rehearsal room setting, Two is a joyful celebration of trust and collaboration, pushing the boundaries of convention in a playful testament to friendship, respect and profound exchange.

WORKSHOP AVAILABLE
Dance workshops also available with artists Raghav Handa and Maharshi Raval on creative process, repertoire, and dynamic physicality.
