ACTING FOR THE STAGE
We are thrilled to announce the *Adelaide Theatre Academy’s new class dedicated to developing dramatic acting skills.
Acting for the Stage will be led by experienced, highly regarded professional actors with extensive training and teaching skills. Students will directly benefit from the skills and knowledge these teachers have gained working and training as professional dramatic actors.
This new course is a response to requests from current and potential students for classes which focus specifically on dramatic acting skills.
Acting For The Stage (the foundations) will introduce high-school aged students to the four fundamentals of acting:
- Physical and vocal expression
- Character development and interaction
- Text analysis and learning
- Collaboration and performance
At the end of Term 3, students will stage a series of scenes, poems and monologues for a live audience.
The new *Adelaide Theatre Academy program will commence in Norwood at the beginning of Term 3, 2018. Following its successful introduction at Norwood, we expect this program to be rolled out to other locations.
