Emily has loved working with and for children nearly all of her professional life.
She worked for over six years with ensemble group Ricochet Theatre Co, writing, producing and performing original productions to thousands of school children in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland.
In the mid-1990’s Emily worked on Channel Nine’s Here’s Humphrey as both host and as a ‘suit work’ performer.
Emily has worked as an Education Tour Presenter with the Adelaide Festival Centre for 11 years. Working with the Education Officer, she created and presented interactive, imaginative, workshop -based tours throughout the Festival Centre for ages 4 – 16 years.
Emily was The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s ‘Story-Performer’ for seven years, touring Adelaide and regional South Australia with the immensely popular Miss Lily’s Fabulous Feather Boa with the ASO’s string quartet.
In 2002 Emily was commissioned by the South Australian Museum to create and perform Whimsical Wildlife, a new theatre piece for the 2003 Come –Out Festival. In 2010 she was commissioned by the South Australian Migration Museum to create and perform Destitute! an historical theatre piece for Come-Out 2011.
Emily has acted on stage and screen for many local companies and organisations including Windmill Theatre Co, Brink Productions, Come-Out Festival, Holden St Theatres, Adelaide University Theatre Guild and Adelaide University Footlights.
She also works as a Freelance Actor and voice over artist.
Emily has a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of South Australia.
