Casey has had a passion for the performing arts from a very young age. Starting with preschool kinder-music and piano lessons, and always involved in school choirs, ‘health-hustle’ dance groups, drama clubs and plays. She pursued her love of the performing arts by attending Charles Campbell Secondary School through the performing arts program, where she participated in countless performances, concerts and school productions.
Casey is trained in multiple musical instruments, including piano, flute, and guitar, but finds the most musical enjoyment through singing. She was a member of Young Adelaide Voices (formerly Adelaide Girls’ Choir) for thirteen years, and has toured Europe, Japan and England in 2008, and America in 2012, and has also toured nationally. Casey has appeared in newspapers, on television and on the radio (nationally and internationally). She has also been involved in the Credit Union Christmas Pageant for eight years, and Carols by Candlelight for five years. In 2011 Casey assisted and independently choreographed dance numbers for Carols by Candlelight.
Casey has directed her own choir of middle school students for stage performance. She was a member of a high school vocal quartet, Impatiens, who competed in the Adelaide Eisteddfod, receiving an Honourable Mention, and also was selected as guest artists at the 2010 Primary School’s Festival of Music.
Creativity, fun and personal growth are some of the important factors that Casey hopes to bring to her students at Theatre Bugs.
