Angela trained in acting at London’s Mountview Theatre Academy and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA). During this time, she also prepared students for LAMDA and Guildhall examinations in speech and drama. She was a member of Merseyside Youth Drama where she played many roles including Portia in The Merchant of Venice.
In her final year at Mountview, Angela was invited to work with Vanessa Redgrave on Perestroika. After graduating she embarked on national tours of Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz and The Mysterious Mr Love. For the BBC she was involved with The 11th Hour, Drive and Crimewatch.
Angela has taught drama privately and at Drama Rewards, an after-school drama club, at primary schools in Cheshire, England. In Adelaide, Angela has volunteered at a primary school whose students speak English as a second or other language, teaching drama under the umbrella of Children’s University.
Locally, she has acted in and directed productions for The University of Adelaide Theatre Guild. She is a founding member of Project 38, which in 2016 set out to read all of Shakespeare’s plays in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment at the University of Adelaide. Last summer, Angela played Mrs Candour for Blue Sky Theatre’s massively successful School for Scandal.
