Associate Diploma in Performance Art (Dance)

Ali spent her formative years training as well as teaching with Helen Beinke in Adelaide before completing an Associate Diploma in Performance Art (Dance) at the Centre for Performing Arts. She then danced professionally with ADT (with Meryl Tankard) and The One Extra Company as well as freelancing as a dancer and choreographer.

She then turned her creativity to film production; researching and production managing numerous documentaries, films and tv productions including the doco ‘Drama School’ – a year at NIDA, and produced a short dance film ‘The Eye Inside’ which earned an AFI nomination and won the best short film at the Sydney Dendy Awards.

Ali returned to teaching dance after the arrival of her first child (Taj) and now has two other little ones to keep her busy, (Mac and Blaise).
