All Theatre Bugs staff, including Teachers, Assistants and Administration staff hold current First Aid certificates and police checks.

Most of our teachers are university trained and hold qualifications in education, the performing arts or both. Some teachers are still completing their studies at university while working at Theatre Bugs. All teachers are carefully interviewed and selection is not only based on qualifications but also on personality and the rapport they have with children. 

Our Teaching Programmes are written by our Director, Joni Combe with creative input from our most experienced teachers. 

All teachers attend quarterly training sessions at Theatre Bugs and receive regular constructive feedback regarding their teaching methods. As well as striving to bring out the best in every student, we also strive to bring out the best in every teacher.
